I admit it: I am far too ignorant of what culturally is going on around here in Bali. My primary problem, as far as I can tell, is that I haven’t been able to engage anyone with an expert level of English comprehension and ability to speak it in enough conversation about this stuff. But right now is, apparently, a big deal with the Balinese. There are celebrations everywhere and it all appears to be culminating these next few days.
Casey and I went out to a massive celebration where hundreds (and probably thousands) of locals were celebrating at a town fair-type setting. The guys in this photo appear to be gambling, but I was unable to either figure out exactly what they were doing or get a really good shot of it.
