There’s this really beautiful corner of the property we’re staying on here in Bali that is the home of a Hindu shrine. Every morning (and probably several other times a day) one of the Balinese staff replenishes it with fresh offerings and prays for a bit. I just happened to be looking out the window with my camera handy on this morning to see Made (pronounced Mah-Day), our cook, beginning her day.
